I wonder how long I can go without posting a new blog?

Meredith and Margaret LOVE Max and Ruby. Meredith thinks that Ruby is really the mommy and not the big sister (where is the mommy??), but I've convinced her that Ruby is indeed the 7 yr old big sister to 3 yr old Max (Max seems younger, doesn't he?).

Anyway, guess what my kids are going to be for Halloween???

I just ordered two bunny costumes. One was a 12-18 month size, which I hope fits Margaret who turns 2 TOMORROW! According to the size chart though it should. Next I need to figure out how to make/buy the outfits for them to wear over their bunny costume. I hope it is a cool Halloween.

Margaret turns TWO tomorrow! I'll be running errands for most of the day (getting ready for her birthday party). I ended up getting Margaret a different doll:

She comes with a brush so Margaret can brush her hair. I hope she likes her! I'm also getting her a puzzle. Her birthday party is on Sunday, here at the house, complete with a rented bounce house.

Have a great weekend. Go UT! Beat OU!

This morning, Meredith complained that she didn't want to go to school; that she wished she could just stay home. She did the same thing yesterday before BSF. She says she just wants to stay home. Well, she's three, so in my book, if she feels overwhelmed by how much she's doing, then I need to pull her out of at least one thing, maybe two. It's tough trying to decide what to cut, but I've decided to cut BSF for her. I've arranged a sitter to come on Wednesdays to watch the girls while I go to BSF. As much as I love the BSF children's program (Meredith already goes around quoting Genesis 1:1), she gets Bible stories in both preschool and Sunday school, so I figured we could skip out on BSF for now. Maybe in the spring she'll want to try it again. The next thing we'll cut will be soccer, if she doesn't show interest in it (although she did great this weekend! She was goalie and stopped the two goals shot on her.).

Margaret and I went to Music Together today. Margaret just LOVES it! It's fun seeing her have such a fun time around kids her own age. She really loves the teacher, Miss Janice.

After preschool, Meredith said her teacher wanted us to go on a leaf hunt, so we got two baskets and walked a bit gathering leaves. The leaves haven't started changing here yet, so they were either green leaves or dried up brown ones. That didn't seem to matter to the kids. They had a blast.

Then my neighbor (who has twin three year olds) invited us to the park with her playgroup (who are also the members of our soccer team). Meredith's best friend, Emma, and her mom and little sister also met us there. They played and played! Emma and Meredith have such a great time together. Then Emma, her mom and sis came to our house for dinner (my hubby was out). It was just a great day and the kids went to bed exhausted. In fact, I just realized Meredith forgot to take her melatonin! She really was pooped!

That book I mentioned in my previous post is basically about a friendship between two women of very different socioeconimic backgrounds that share similar abusive marriages that they escaped from. While the book isn't Christian fiction per se, it does have a faith theme to it that is very well done without being overdone, if you know what I mean. I highly recommend the book. Tonight I'm starting on a new book Twelve Golden Threads: Lessons for Successful Living From Grama's Quilt. It was recommended on my GentleRomance group, so I bought it used. I also have 'Mater Biscuit by Julia Cannon on the TBR pile.

Well, that's all for now. BTW, Meredith came down to tell me she can't sleep without her medicine, so scratch what I said earlier. Night!

Yeah! Everyone still reads my blog.  That encourages me to write more, more, more!

Let's see...I finished that book last night...A Place Called Wiregrass. It's a great book! I highly recommend it.

BSF is going great. We're studying Genesis. More on that later.

Meredith is doing great in school. We're on our way to the park right now (beautiful day in the upper 70's!).

I'll write more later, I promise!
